Anyone who lives in south Cheatham County can receive food from The Ark Community Food Pantry. Food pantry is open on Tuesday from 5-6, except for 5th Tuesdays. We rely on your generous donations of food.Thank you so much!
The FUEL program provides ready to eat food on weekends to children that otherwise might have nothing to eat. During the year, it is distributed through local schools. Area churches and individuals provide the food that is distributed.
During the summer months, The Ark is the distribution center for the FUEL Program. Parents can pick up the food during regular Ark hours or during food pantry.
MEALS ON WHEELS
If you know a senior in need of MOW, please contact Patti Dunn at 615.646.7411. Volunteers are also needed to deliver meals.
Emergency Utility Assistance is provided as funds allow to residents of south Cheatham County who have lived in their home for at least six months. Please contact The Ark, or apply during food pantry hours.
The Angel Tree Program provides Christmas gifts to children who are identified through their schools. Angels are available for adoption each year at the Ark and local banks.
TOOLS FOR SCHOOL
Required school supplies and a backpack are provided to students through middle school.Your generous donations of money and supplies make this program a huge success!
First we will need to get some basic household information.
- Photo ID for each adult
- SS card or birth certificate for each minor
- Proof of residency: mortgage statement or lease agreement
Volunteers or staff will meet with you to hear your story and see how we can help. In some cases you may be referred to another agency that can help. Our primary ongoing programs are food pantry, utility assistance, clothing assistance, and meals on wheels.
